After the GDK update, camera movement in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is extremely jittery, stuttery, or jumps in discrete steps, even at high FPS and with all standard settings optimized. This issue renders the game unplayable in combat, particularly on high-refresh-rate monitors.
FPS remains very high (300–800+ depending on world/server load).
Problem occurs regardless of V-Sync, G-Sync, polling rate, DPI, frame caps, power management, or anti-aliasing settings.
Issue affects multiple mice and is independent of physical mouse speed.
The jitter is independent of monitor refresh rate.
Downgrading to 1.21.114 fixes the issue, indicating the problem is caused by the new GDK input pipeline.
CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D
GPU: RTX 4070 Ti SUPER
RAM: 32GB DDR5
Monitor: 240Hz, 2560x1440
Mouse: multiple tested, polling rates 125–1000 Hz, DPI 200–820
Replicate (only affects certain systems)
Launch Minecraft Bedrock 1.21.120+ on Windows 11.
Move the camera with a mouse in any loaded world.
Observe jitter, stuttering, or discrete camera jumps, even with extremely high FPS and minimal load.
Optional: Test various polling rates, DPI, V-Sync on/off — the behavior persists.
Smooth framerate, but camera movement feels choppy or “choppy” or jumps in large steps.
Combat is extremely difficult due to inability to aim accurately.
High refresh rates amplify the perception of stutter in some users.
Fast paced movement is very hard for me or others like flicking down to place a block is harder because of the lag.
Expected:
Camera movement should remain smooth at all times if FPS is stable.
No dependence on refresh rate, polling rate, or input device.
Multiple users confirm the issue, including Eldar, Patrick Kren, ItsEB800, Knive knive, IImoxi, David Pych, キ, and rat (me) .
Problem persists across different hardware configurations (Intel, AMD, NVIDIA, RTX, various monitors).
Minor improvements may occur if refresh rate is reduced in rare cases, but many users see no improvement from refresh rate or polling rate changes.
Last working version for everyone appears to be 1.21.114.
This is a game-side bug caused by the GDK input system introduced in 1.21.120+. It is not related to hardware performance, FPS, or standard settings. It prevents many high-end systems from playing smoothly and impacts competitive gameplay. Harder to aim, harder movement, especially when moving and aiming or flicking fast (even with perfect settings that also work perfectly on java) (I have tested changing 1ms 2ms 4ms response for my mouse).
