the breaking animation in the game when your breaking a block is darker than that of the java edition, this has been an issue since 0.8.0 update, i remember playing on 0.6.1 and the breaking animation wasnt like the one we have now, and yes, i remember back that far

Can confirm. The animations aren't just darker, they are black, look rougher and are exactly the same on all blocks. It's supposed to slightly blend in with the texture of the block, I'm surprised how no one of the dev team noticed this, this exact same bug has been in the game for almost 5 years
