Participation in the Copper Cape Quest was not correctly captured and no feedback given to player upon completion

Steps to reproduce: Pick up and then place a copper golem statue in minecraft bedrock edition whilst logged in during the copper cape quest event.

Expected behaviour: Picking up and placing a copper golem statue would result in the quest being completed and some property of the account being updated to reflect this. Expected end result: copper cape applied to account within 30 days.

Actual behaviour observed: Picking up and placing a copper golem statue did not result in the quest being completed. No copper cape being applied to account after more than 30 days.

Additionally, due to no feedback being given to the player, or logs being saved by the game after completing this quest, it is apparently not possible to prove completion to support. The end result is an infinite loop of requests for proof of completion responded to with screenshots of the placed copper golem statues.

This bug has been confirmed by many players before...

The Copper Cape Quest event has ended. If support is unable to give you the cape, then unfortunately there is nothing that can be done now.

I didn’t come here for support, just to provide feedback on the event to help improve the experience for future events.

Unfortunately I didn’t realise this had been reported so many times before since the search function wasn’t working correctly at the time I posted this.
