Every time I play my current world the game will crash every 35-40 mins. It did start out as a longer interval, every hour, but has recently (the last week or so) shortened to the current time.
Trigger: seems to be triggered by the auto save function, opening/closing chests, or interacting with something.
Or thats what I've noticed so far since I've been paying real attention.
Happens on duplicated versions of the save too.
Currently, my only way to get around this that I’ve found and not lose progress/time to a crash is to have a timer for myself set at the moment I press load world, for 35 mins, and then do a manual save when it goes off. Rinse and repeat.
The game is barely playable as it stands and getting anything done is very difficult. My concern is that the window betwen crashes is getting shorter the longer I play the save/larger the file size gets. (Current save is at 116.1mb)
This has also happened in previous saves as well, I just stopped playing them and moved on rather than paying attention as I'm a relatively new player of minecraft.
I've also previously tried: Reinstalling. Clearing the cache. Redownloading saves from the cloud. Restarting the console. Changing settings like render distance, chunk loading and graphics settings. No dice, still crashing.
I will not be factory resetting as its only minecraft that is doing this. And only on saves that have a longer playtime/larger filesize.

I dont think I really have a way to ‘provide the world’? I'm solely on ps5 and as I said, a minecraft newbie.
My device is just a regular ps5?? What do you mean details? Yes, I have the most recent update. If by 'memory' you mean hard drive space, then a lot, I have installed an internal ssd. Minecraft is the only game to do this and currently only with this save (the largest I have) though, as I said, it has with others that were also getting big. If you mean RAM, again, its just a normal ps5, so I think 16gb is the standard, right?
Getting a recording is trickier due to the time I'll need to record myself playing for as well as finding a way to do so. I think streaming it or just straight up recording my screen on my phone are my only options? I'll give it a try asap.
Same! This issue happens to me every time I move over 1 or 2 chunks from where I’ve been building for some five minutes or so, or whenever I open an inventory/chest like you’ve mentioned. At first I thought that is was when I loaded chunks too fast, since it would usually occur after flying fast in creative mode over large chunks, but it also started occurring even when I moved slowly/ just walking from place to place. However, the latter option crashes much less so than the former.
I didn’t think that it would be tied to the autosave, but that makes a lot of sense. It’s been happening since the copper age drop for me. My friends say it’s because of the add-ons I have on the world, but that really shouldn’t matter because I don’t have many--- but my world is also several years old. It’s really frustrating as you can imagine, and no one seems to be talking about this online, but it cannot only just be me having this issue. I have also tried uninstalling and reinstalling my game, it does not fix anything. Copying worlds doesn’t do anything either. I have not seen if this happens on any other world or not since I only play on this singular world.
