Horse Movement is Laggy and Slow

Since the Mounts of Mayhem update, all horse movement has become extremely slow-motion and laggy. It feels like playing on a really low TPS server, but worse because the horses can barely move. Navigation whilst riding my steed on survival has become miserable and moving is really a chore. For being called “Mounts of Mayhem,” the only mayhem this mount is causing is how much I want to destroy my computer due to the bad physics.
