bug, killing the ender dragon, the egg never reespawns

Hi! I got a problem with my experience playing on minecraft bedrock ed. i was actually killing ender dragon for the third time in my world and something strange happend. after some time, after spawning the ender dragon i died bcauses of a crystal, but thats not the problem, i got to the end again, got my things and the dragon recovered his life. i assumed it was ok and it was bcause i had died and the chunk wasnt loading, but heres the actuall problem, he shot some “firebolls“ at me and i had “thorns”, the enchantment, on my armor and i didnt hit the dragon after the first time i was killed, so the dragon died from the firebolls hitting my armor that had thorns, and when i got to the end portal to get the ender dragon’s egg it wasnt there, o thought it might have fallen into the portal, so i jump into the portal and theres was nothing there, got back to the end and start to panick and try and find if it didnt teleported somewhere. i checked the island and nothing. i really dont know what to do in this situation and have no ideia on what happend and the only thing i can think from this is that is absolutely a bug .😞

I might just have to restart my world bcause of this, if somebody could help please im accepting some advice on how to continue from this!

P.S.: the dragon had dropped 12 xp levels after killing it, another fact that i have found strange but didnt had given too much attention to that at the moment.
