I still have this problem after 1.1.4 I have gotten Update 1.1.4 from the updates section of the App Store. Not a beta version.
I have downloaded no texture packs, resource packs, or anything exept updates from the App Store.
When I try to load my red stone testing world, "Testing 2," It says Syncing pack with server, (I don't have any texture packs though) then it says generating/loading world. The green line is about 1 fifth of the way across (without moving) then it crashes, returning me to the home screen. And when I open it again, by double tapping home and clicking on the tab, or clicking the app, it decides to put me on a blank white screen for a while, then finally the menu screen. Half of the time it detects a crash.
I Always stare at the floor to avoid it from not saving and crashing when I save and exit, so I can't even see what could be causing an error.
I couldn't get a picture of it failing, because I'm not fast enough. It didn't even say there was an error. Feel free to leave a solution, (Preferably without opening the files and trying to copy them, delete Minecraft it and put them back, I'll 100% chance mess up and end up deleting something important.) I'll check every few hours. I'm worried this might happen to my very important worlds, that I work on most of the day, every day. I'm currently building a foolproof medieval-like future server on a floating grass square. I have currency, mystery boxes, item rarity and important things done. I just need a complete map and peaceful mode mobs that summon uncollectable arrows at you when you are close enough for them to hit you if it was a hostile mob. (Basically like a pig named wild boar that will damage you if you touch it. I've done a lot more than it sounds, and I don't feel like losing it, and I can't pay money for a file manager. Or use my computer to put copies of my world on a flash drive because somehow it has a virus that hasn't really done anything but set off pop ups to say there's a virus. Nothing has disappeared or appeared on it so I don't trust backing up my worlds.
Remember I'll check back for advice on how to fix this. I'll leave a comment saying if it worked or not. Nobody else seemed to have this issue. Yes I have tried shutting it down my iPad Air 2 completely then turning it back on. I JUST GOT BACK OMG FINALLY 1.2.15 OMG!!! CHECKED EVERY 2 DAYS, I CAN’T BELIEVE IT!!! I GOT A POP UP THAT SAID SOME STUFF ABOUT SKIN PACKS AND MINECOINS THAT PEOPLE WERE LOSING, I WAS ABOUT TO OPEN COOL WORLD 13 AND IT WAS AT THE TOP THANK YOU SO MUCH IVE HAD THIS BOOKMARKED AND SAVED SINCE SO I CAN RETURN!!! FINALLY BACK AND MADE AN AWESOME BEACON! Also the ‘ on IOS makes it super high def like when u use symbols, the width of lines gets thin. Anyways, I had lots of redstone and mapmaking stuff that I would never use stuck there, most of the circuits were still active. The sheep named “Bob” was soaring into the sky being teleported, I wrote a Command with the name=“”, but it didn’t that didn’t exist until after I lost the world. 7/10/17 through 4/13/18, which is Friday the thirteenth in April. Currently 10:50 PM. About a year of waiting. Then I was finally able to flip off every lever in the world, unless there was a redstone torch clock, then I left it on. I FEEL not stressed... Backups must be made and I have 1% battery got to go... Bye!

It doesn't even say it detected a crash, but it doesn't seem to have happened again yet. *It may have been a very fast pulsing redstone clock, that was a very long comparator pulse extender, that I failed at making. *I had it built so when the pulse ran out it would refresh the pulse, but I somehow turned it into a vey fast clock where it kept flashing. I didn't think that could be the case though, because I had done that before. I did figure out how to make a very like 5-10 minute clock though, a chest #1 on hopper pointed into a chest #2, the chest #2 gets filled with items from chest #1, then chest #2 is pushed by sticky pistons onto a hopper that puts them back into chest #1. Then chest #2 gets put back where it started, and begins to fill up again. There's probably a better design that takes longer.
Before you ask why all my worlds are named "cool world _" And there are only 9 v2, 10 and 11, it's because I tried to download a shaders "Resource pack" when it was around 0.16.0ish. And my app would open and then crash. I had worlds 1-9. I used the same seed always. "8747" I had to rebuild 1 weeks worth of hours (added up to a week) to rebuild a castle, using only screenshots and memory. And painstakingly counting blocks from screenshots. To build it exactly where it was how it was. And I have no backups. Not even iCloud or a simple 1 gigabyte flashdrive. I swear minecraft worlds take not even a full megabyte.
