Steps to reproduce:
1. Start Minecraft while online.
2. Apply a custom skin from the Custom Skin menu.
3. Turn off internet connection.
4. Close Minecraft completely.
5. Start Minecraft again while offline.
Result:
The custom skin resets to Steve and does not load.
Expected result:
The custom skin should remain available offline, as in previous versions.
