Summary:
After signing into a Microsoft account, Minecraft normally signs the player in automatically a few seconds after the main menu appears on subsequent launches. However, if a world is opened before this automatic sign-in process begins, the game fails to sign the player into their Microsoft account.
When this occurs, the player must exit the world and manually press the Sign In button on the main menu. This introduces an unnecessary delay before all online and account-dependent features become available, as the player must wait on the main menu for the sign-in process to start. On some platforms, this process can take a noticeable amount of time.
Steps to Reproduce:
Launch Minecraft.
Sign in to a Microsoft account.
Restart Minecraft.
As soon as the main menu buttons appear, immediately select Play and load a world.
Observed Results:
The player is loaded into the world while not signed in to their Microsoft account, resulting in the following issues:
The player’s selected skin is not loaded, and a default skin is displayed.
The Marketplace and Dressing Room are inaccessible. This is inconsistent, as these features remain accessible after a manual sign-out in other scenarios.
Other players cannot be invited to the world.
Expected Results:
The game should automatically sign the player into their Microsoft account in the background, even if a world is loaded before the sign-in process begins.
