Nintendo Switch: Accessibility (Text-to-Speech & Narrator) settings reset on restart

On Nintendo Switch (Bedrock Edition, physical cartridge), accessibility settings do not persist.

Text-to-Speech and Narrator reset to ON every time the game is closed or the console is put to sleep. This occurs even when the settings are changed from the title screen and not inside a world.

The issue happens consistently in handheld and docked mode.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Launch Minecraft on Nintendo Switch (physical cartridge)

  2. From the title screen, go to Settings → Accessibility

  3. Disable Text-to-Speech and Narrator

  4. Return to main menu and enter a world

  5. Close Minecraft completely or put the Switch to sleep

  6. Relaunch Minecraft
