Touch input requires double tap on Android

After updating to Minecraft Bedrock version 1.21.132.1 on Android,

touch input often does not register on the first tap.

The first tap only activates the screen,

and a second tap is required to press buttons.

This happens in menus and during gameplay.

Restarting the app and the phone does not fix the issue.
