The minecraft:liquid_detection component recently gained support for use_liquid_clipping. When activated, the property is supposed to use the collision box shape to visually clip stored liquid. Unfortunately, this does not appear to function at all. (Note that the referenced bug report in the changelog linked above is a mistake and has nothing to do with liquid clipping.)
Demonstration
The attached screenshot shows this issue. The water takes up the entire space and is not clipped by the collision box, which has been configured to be the same size as the model:
"minecraft:collision_box": {"origin": [-4, 4, -4], "size": [8, 8, 8]}There was no observed situation in which this property functions as described.
Reproduction
This demo screenshot and code are taken from the behavior pack in the attached world for convenience. This world can be opened (in Minecraft Preview) for inspection or unzipped to access the code associated with such.
