The error happens every time I try to switch from windowed mode to fullscreen. It occurs both when changing the mode through the game settings and when pressing the F11 key. The bug started in version 1.21.120 and is still present in the newer versions (26.0).
The only way to run the game in fullscreen is:
Close the game.
Locate the " options.txt" file in the game files.
Open it and edit the "gfx_fullscreen:" parameter, changing the 0 at the end to 1.
The game launches in fullscreen without crashing.

Could you please provide more details or/and media files. As we have no repro of this issue.
Are you using any add-ons or resource packs? If so, could you provide a complete list of them?
Could you please include details about your device and system specifications (RAM, CPU, GPU)?
Have you tried reinstalling the launcher and the Minecraft game? (Remember to create backup files before doing so.)
Have you installed the latest graphics and audio drivers?
Does the issue also occurs on a Preview?
Have you installed the latest Java JDK software?
