I need to report a serious issue happening in my Minecraft Bedrock world. Whenever another player joins the game, it becomes almost completely unplayable.

As soon as someone joins, the world starts freezing constantly. The same thing happens when players leave, move around, open chests, place blocks, or interact with anything in the world. The game will freeze for several seconds at a time and sometimes longer.

When I’m alone in the world, everything runs normally with no lag or freezing. The issue only starts the moment another player connects.

Right now this makes multiplayer basically impossible to play. If anyone else has experienced something like this or knows what might cause it, please let me know. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hi!
Thank you for your report!

Could you please provide more details or/and media files. As we have no repro of this issue.

  • Are you using any add-ons or resource packs? If so, could you provide a complete list of them?

  • Could you please include details about your device and system specifications (RAM, CPU, GPU)?

  • Have you checked your network connection for stability issues that might affect online gameplay?

  • Are you using any third-party server or software tools that might affect the game's performance?

I can report the same issues. When I tried to do multiplayer on a longtime world of mine (minigame world) the game would experience extreme lag spikes and would freeze for so long it kicked the other player. It also created an extremely strange visual glitch, distorted triangles:

Unless this is an issue with lighting updates (something that may have been causing the lag and is in the changelog as fixed for 26.10) multiplayer when I am the host (it wasn’t a problem when I was on a realm) is unplayable. Overall, stability and performance needs to be improved, as in my base on the realm I mentioned, while I don’t get minute long freezes, framerate will constantly vary between 5 and 50 frames randomly, with decently common several second freezes. (this base has lots of villagers and farms in it, and I use a 5 year old iPad, so not the most optimal conditions for play)
