Summary:
When placing blocks on leaves, the placement will often fail on the first attempt, requiring the player to place the block a second time. The block briefly appears and then disappears.
This issue makes building with leaves (such as creating large custom trees) more frustrating and time-consuming due to inconsistent placement behavior.
The issue was introduced in 26.20.21 Preview and does not occur in 26.3 or earlier Preview versions.
Steps to Reproduce:
Note: The following steps provide a quick and consistent reproduction method. The issue can also occur during normal building, as described above.
Open chat and run the following command:
/fill ~15 ~ ~15 ~-15 ~ ~-15 leavesPlace a small platform of leaves directly on top of the generated leaves.
Break a leaf block from the platform created by the
/fillcommand.Wait for the leaves to decay.
To speed up the process, increase the
randomtickspeedgamerule, then reset it to normal.
Attempt to place a block on the small platform of leaves.
Observed Results:
The block is placed briefly and then disappears, requiring a second placement attempt. If the world is reloaded before placing the block, the issue does not occur until the steps above are repeated.
Expected Results:
Blocks should place successfully on the first attempt and remain in place, matching the behavior in previous versions.
