Disclaimer: This report is more focused on the resulting freeze itself, as I believe the caravan splitting is a separate issue entirely & I have no clue on how & why it happens.
Steps to Reproduce:
Tame at least 2 llamas (or acquire 2 from a Wandering Trader).
Leash a llama to start a caravan with the 2nd one.
Attach the lead to a fence.
Visit the llamas from time to time (unrender & rerender via distance). Very rarely (as of this report's initial date, this has happened to me a total of 4 times in the entire duration of my experience playing Bedrock Edition; 2019 - Mar 23, 2026), it can be seen that the 2nd llama (or about half of the caravan) will eventually lose interest in following the leader llama. I apologize in advance as I don’t know what causes the caravan to split. Possibly another chunk border related issue?
Round up the loose caravan llamas using leads & bring them close to the original leader.
Unleash & reattach lead to the original leader: Soft Freeze
Pause the game: Full Freeze
Expected Results: The separated llamas should regroup & stand close to the leader.
Observed Results:
Leashing the original leader will cause everything to freeze, except for the daylight cycle SFX BGM & your ability to move. Note: Travel as far as you want, but the lead will never snap off, & will unrender at a certain distance. This is the soft freeze.
Pausing the game during this moment will completely freeze the game. There’s no way to exit the game without force closing & you will lose progress since the last completed autosave.
