When a nametag is set on an entity in Minecraft Bedrock Edition, there is no proper in-game or scripting method to completely remove it afterward.
Setting the name to an empty string ("") does hide it visually, but the nametag still exists as a property of the entity and cannot be truly cleared or deleted.
This makes it impossible to fully "remove" nametags once applied, especially when using name tags or scripts in add-ons.
