Cannot upload "Classic" skins to the Dressing Room

Attempting to upload a custom “classic" skin to Minecraft Bedrock Mobile returns a Skin Type error no matter what. Even when the pixel size is accurate and the image format is .png, it still returns this error and does not upload the skin. This same error occurs with skin images that were previously able to be uploaded, including skins I have currently loaded in the Dressing Room.

I've been careful to deactivate any add-ons, global resources, or settings that may be impacting the performance of the Dressing Room. Minecraft is up to date and in as default of a state as it can be.

Steps to reproduce the error:

  1. Open the Dressing Room

  2. Select “Change Classic Skin”

  3. “Import Skin”; “Choose New Skin”

  4. Upload the skin's image (64×64 pixels, .png format, under 1 MB)

  5. The game returns the Skin Type format/pixel size error after loading

Expected Result: Minecraft will upload my classic skin and allow me to wear it.

Actual Result: Minecraft returns an unwarranted error that prevents me from wearing my desired skins.
