TNT Inside Sulfur Cubes Behaves Differently from Regular TNT in Explosion Drop Rate and Damage Source

Description:
In the latest beta versions 26.30.25/26, TNT blocks placed inside Sulfur Cubes (a new feature) explode similarly to regular TNT. However, testing reveals two critical behavioral differences: (1) explosions from Sulfur Cube TNT destroy blocks with only a ~25% drop rate (similar to old TNT behavior), whereas regular TNT has a 100% drop rate for destroyed blocks; (2) Sulfur Cube TNT kills are never attributed to any damage source—even when ignited indirectly by a player—meaning no Looting enchantment bonus applies and no experience drops. In contrast, regular TNT ignited by a player correctly credits the player for kills.

How to Reproduce:

  1. Drop Rate Test:

    • Place regular TNT near a group of identical, breakable blocks (e.g., stone) and detonate it. Collect all drops and calculate the drop rate.

    • Place Sulfur Cube TNT near an identical group of blocks and detonate it. Compare the drop rate.

  2. Damage Source Test:

    • Use regular TNT ignited by a player to kill mobs (e.g., chickens) while holding a Looting-enchanted weapon. Observe experience drops and item quantities.

    • Repeat the same process using Sulfur Cube TNT ignited by any method (including player-initiated ignition). Observe drops and experience.

Observed Result:

  • Regular TNT destroys blocks with a 100% drop rate for affected blocks and, when player-ignited, correctly credits the player (Looting applies, experience drops).

  • Sulfur Cube TNT destroys only ~25% of blocks (reminiscent of old TNT drop mechanics) and never credits any damage source—no Looting effect, no experience, even when the TNT was clearly triggered by the player.

Expected Result:

  • Sulfur Cube TNT should behave identically to regular TNT in all explosive properties:

    • 100% block drop rate for destroyed blocks.

    • Proper damage source attribution when ignited by a player (including via redstone, flint and steel, or other player-triggered methods), allowing Looting and experience drops.

  • There should be no functional difference between TNT inside Sulfur Cubes and regular TNT.

Additional Notes:
This parity issue is highly disruptive for technical gameplay. The lower drop rate (25%) is a legacy mechanic that was changed years ago to 100%; reintroducing it via Sulfur Cube TNT is inconsistent and confusing. Moreover, the lack of damage source attribution removes any incentive to use Sulfur Cube TNT in mob farms or combat, as players cannot benefit from Looting or experience. Since both TNT types are visually and mechanically similar, their explosive behaviors should be unified to match the modern standard.
