Outer Sulfur Cube transparency in RTX mode

Occurs in RTX mode, not in Vibrant Visual mode.

1_ default sulfur_cube_outer transparency becomes black when floating in water - where the texture alpha channel is white - seen while I was testing my custom rtx texture pack without custom sulfur cube textures;

2_ My custom Sulfur Cube outer transparency becames black in any condition - where the texture alpha channel is black - seen while I was testing my custom rtx texture pack with custom sulfur cube textures (https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft-bedrock/texture-packs/rtx-logical-faithful/files/8253468).

Issue could be connected to MCPE-111414 since it also happens with my texture pack (Villager biome dress layer becomes black).

Thank you for your report!

However, this issue has been temporarily closed as Awaiting Response.

Could you please attach an example resource pack with which the issue can be observed?

However, it also happens without a custom resource pack because it occurs in RTX mode, not in Vibrant Visual mode.

I figured out what was causing the issue.

RTX mode doesn’t like having the alpha channel set to “zero” in certain textures, which makes it render a solid black or white color. To fix it, I simply changed the transparency value of the affected areas to “one”.

This workaround also solved the problem with the villager and zombie_villager profession textures.

Files I have customized to workaround alpha channel issue.

I’m not sure they work. I didn’t modify those of the zombie_villagers, but the issue seems to be fixed only with new textures that have alpha > 0.
