I put multiple slabs at once once there are some mobs partially touching the place

I was trying to make a mob farm, But for some reason I just click L2 (On Playstation4) just a few centiseconds and it just places multiple at once. This is really annoying because I don’t need to merge slabs but it merges them once that happens.
