Bug Summary (PS5 Minecraft Bedrock Performance Issue)
What is happening
Minecraft Bedrock on PS5 experiences a progressive performance degradation during gameplay sessions. The game starts running normally at ~60 FPS, but after a short period of play, performance drops to ~30β40 FPS and becomes locked at that lower level. This is accompanied by noticeable input lag and UI responsiveness issues (inventory, menus, and loading screens).
When it happens
The issue occurs during any active gameplay session, typically a few minutes after entering a world. It affects both new and existing worlds and consistently appears after the game has been running for a short time.
How it happens
The game starts with stable performance (~60 FPS)
After exploring or loading chunks for a short period, performance begins to degrade
FPS drops sharply to ~30β40 and remains stuck at that level
UI elements (inventory, menus, loading screens) also become delayed and less responsive
Lowering graphics or render distance does not restore performance once the drop occurs
Only restarting the game resets performance back to normal temporarily
Variables tested
Render distance: 10β36 chunks (issue still occurs; higher values accelerate onset)
Simulation distance: low and high (no impact on final degraded state)
World type: new and existing worlds (issue occurs in both)
Graphics settings: low and high (no recovery after degradation)
Reinstall / cache reset / database rebuild: no permanent effect
Session state: performance is stable after fresh install but degrades again after restarting the game
Key characteristics
100% reproducible per session
No console overheating or hardware throttling observed
Issue appears to be session-based and related to engine performance degradation over time rather than world-specific or hardware limitations
Only a full game restart restores performance temporarily

Well i have Problems too. In 1.26.30 and 31. Shortly after starting the game the main menu runs at 1600 FPS. Shortly after it Freezes and is on 5 to 73. My CPU and GPU are capped at around 30 percent BUT IT CAPS THERE. It perfectly is capped at 73. I have vsync turned of in options.txt. Nothing. My Monitor has 240 Hz. Hardware: RX 9060XT 16GB, Ryzen 5 7500 F, 32GB RAM. PLEASE FIX THIS. I cant play minecraft anymore. But mo one listens to non votet problems. When a small thing annoys everyone it gets fixed in 3 months. When a huge problem destroys the game of a few players, no one cares and nothing happens.
