Since the release of Minecraft Bedrock Update 26.30, I have been experiencing significant FPS-related performance issues that were not present in the previous version (26.23).
The main problem is that the game initially runs normally at 120 FPS, but after some time the framerate suddenly drops to 30 FPS and becomes locked at that value. Once this happens, the game remains capped at 30 FPS regardless of any changes made in the video settings.
I have already tried several troubleshooting steps, including clearing the game's app data and adjusting the FPS limit in the settings menu, but none of these actions resolve the issue. The problem persists consistently.
To verify whether the issue was specific to my device, I also tested the game on a PS5 Slim and encountered the exact same behavior, suggesting that this may be a bug introduced in Update 26.30 rather than a hardware-related problem.
Before Update 26.30, specifically in version 26.23, the game ran smoothly without any FPS drops or framerate locking issues. Because of this, I believe the latest update may have introduced a performance regression affecting gameplay stability. Some people say the problem is with the skin pack, others say it's only in older worlds, well, I really don't know.
I would appreciate it if the development team could investigate this issue and provide a fix in a future update.

Same thing is happening to me.
Steps to Reproduce:
Install Minecraft and launch it for the first time.
Sign in to your account.
Join any external multiplayer server (for example, Lifeboat).
The game runs normally at 60 FPS (or whatever FPS your device is capable of).
Close the game completely.
Reopen Minecraft.
Join the same server again.
Result:
The FPS becomes locked at 30 and stays there.
Rejoining the server does not fix it, and neither does restarting the game multiple times. Once the issue starts occurring, the FPS remains stuck at 30 FPS in multiplayer.
I concur,
I completely removed Minecraft Bed. and deleted all file pathways through %appdata% and then reinstalled via Xbox App.
After loading in, Minecraft automatically puts you into a world, and my FPS was normal, 165+.
Then after importing my old world/s, my FPS was capped at 30FPS wuthin those specific worlds.
The issue (IMO) is within the pre 26.30 worlds.
(I also did the manual V-sync disabling, and was running the game at minimal grapics)
@Mongoose is right, it's mostly occuring on pre 26.30 worlds, but I've also experienced it in a newly created world but only occur randomly.
My Hardcore world and superflat world is the only ones that experiencing this fps drop consistently.
I recently have found a fix! I'm sure all of us set the fps setting to UNLIMITED. I've been trying to find a fix which led me to lowering my fps setting to 60 fps. After doing this i noticed that the fps drop was gone in both of my hardcore world and superflat world, then i also tried to put back my fps setting to UNLIMITED and the fps drop also came back. So for now I'll temporarily set my fps setting to 60fps until a new hotfix is available.

I have the same problem. After starting the game (skins are loading + automatic login), there is a severe lag. Afterwards, my FPS drops from 144 to a constant 72, even after I load into a world or realm.
If I am playing in a world or on a realm and enter an area where performance drops significantly (for example, a complex storage system), and my FPS drops under 70, the game sets a new FPS limit of 30 FPS. The new FPS limit is capped and remains unchanged even after leaving the mentioned area. The only fix is restarting the game, where the whole problems starts again.
This isn’t fixed in 26.32 still. The bug still appears to remain there. The FPS spikes to about 40 or 60, then 5 seconds later, it locks it to 30.
I have it on my Mobile Devics which has High End specs which are Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and 16GB of LPDDR5X Ram, but doesnt seem to really guve any result despite of modifying game settings on video settings and everything, locked to 30fps, older version could give me 100FPs on all high Vibrant visual
I was told to add any extra information i had here but i do not believe we are having the same performance issues. my framerate monitoring program is saying my fps is at 240-270. but the game feels extremely choppy when i move my cursor or look around, also when i lock my fps at 60 i can see a noticeable drop in performance compared to when its unlocked at 240fps+. I don't think my framerate is the issue it honestly looks like a very bad motion blur almost like ghosting/smearing. Considering i am playing on the same device I've had in the past and the same monitor with the same settings i think i can assume this is a game issue and not on my end because i have never had this issue on past updates. As i stated before all my other games are running perfectly fine and not suffering from this issue at all.
Happening on my Xbox Series S as well. I could never run all the best settings, but it looked good and I had minimal frame issues. Now i can have it on all the worst settings and it will still drop frames like crazy
