Short description of the issue:
.mcaddon, .mcworld, and .mcpack files open Minecraft but do not import. No success or failure message appears, and the packs are not added to the game.
Steps to reproduce the issue:
Download a .mcaddon or .mcpack file
Open it using a file manager (tested with RAR, EX File Manager, and Files by Google)
Select Minecraft when prompted or allow it to open automatically
Minecraft launches normally
No import message appears and the pack is not installed
Expected result:
Minecraft should show an “Import started” message followed by “Successfully imported,” and the pack should appear in Resource Packs, Behavior Packs, or Storage.
Actual result:
Minecraft opens normally but does not import the file. No message appears (neither success nor failure). The pack does not appear anywhere in Minecraft. The game briefly freezes for about 1 second after opening, then continues normally.
This issue happens with all .mcaddon and .mcpack files. It also persists even after testing multiple file managers (RAR, EX File Manager, Files by Google). The issue used to work previously on the same device and setup, but now no external add-ons can be imported anymore.
Note:
According to MCPE-242096, this issue only occurs when the game is not suspended in the background.
