Lunge cannot be used when tapping on a block

Description

I only get the movement boost for lunge if I tap on a mob, or a portion of my screen where no blocks are in intractable range.

Reproduction

1. Get a spear with lunge

2. build or find a wall

3. Tap on that wall within a distance such that you could mine it if you were not holding a spear

Expected result

Lunge activates; the player is sent forward.

Observed result

Nothing happens.
