Drowned error on PS5 from Mexico - Cannot sign into Microsoft Account since 2024

Platform: PlayStation 5

Region: Querétaro, Mexico

Error: "Drowned" - Cannot Sign into Microsoft Account for Minecraft

Started: 2024

Steps to reproduce:

1. Open Minecraft on PS5

2. Click "Sign in with Microsoft Account"

3. Error "Drowned" appears immediately, before showing login code

Expected result:

Should show login code to enter on microsoft.com/link

Actual result:

"Drowned" error appears and login is blocked completely

Testing done:

- 2 different PS5 consoles = FAIL

- 2 different ISPs = FAIL

- 3 NEW Microsoft accounts = FAIL

- 3 NEW PSN accounts = FAIL

- Complete reinstall + DNS 1.1.1.1 = FAIL

- Same Microsoft account works 100% on Minecraft Mobile

Conclusion: This is a backend REGION BAN or PSN ID BAN affecting Mexico since 2024. Not a client or account issue.

Request: Please unblock PSN ID or whitelist Mexico region. Zendesk Ticket 8003885 was ignored.
