Can’t duplicate large Minecraft world

Every time for the past year or so, I’ve tried to duplicate my large world (1.3Gbs) it fails. It looks like it works, but only ends up creating a duplicate of about 860mbs, that has new chunks and missing chunks everywhere, that shortly crashes after.

Steps to reproduce bug:

  1. Get a larger world, presumably one over a gigabyte.

  2. Try to duplicate it on a PlayStation, potentially pc

  3. Try to play on large world to see results.

The expected results is to have a 1:1 copy of the world, the actual results is a broken and messed up copy that doesn’t play right.

The problem here is the game stops early while duplicating the world. The fix here for Mojang is the game needs to spend more time doing internal file integrity checks while duplicating a world to ensure everything is 100% copied properly, even on large worlds. Duplicating worlds shouldn't have size limits, but it should happen at blocks at a time.
