In Bedrock Edition, when a cushion is placed on top of six snow layers (total height: 12 pixels / 0.75 blocks), and the snow layers are then removed and replaced with a full solid block to support the cushion, the cushion will drop as an item after a short delay. This behavior differs from Java Edition, where the cushion remains attached to the replacement block.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Place six snow layers in a column.
2. Place any color of cushion on top of these snow layers.
3. Break snow layers.
4. Place any full solid block (e.g., stone, oak plank) in the exact position where the snow layers were.
5. Wait for 2–3 seconds without interacting.
Observed Result:
After the full block is placed, the cushion remains floating for a moment, then it drops as a item.
Expected Result:
Based on Java Edition behavior, the cushion should remain securely placed on top of the new full block, similar to other non-full blocks.
I cannot reproduce the described parity issue when comparing with Java 26.3 Snapshot 4. Placing 6 layers of snow with a cushion on top, and then replacing the snow layers with stone causes the cushion to break, just like in Bedrock. Is this still a parity issue for you?
