Summary:
In Bedrock Edition, holding down the interaction button (e.g., Right-Click / LT) to sit on a cushion only executes the action once. Even if the player continues to hold the button and hovers their crosshair over other cushions, they will not sit down again.
In Java Edition, holding the interaction button allows the player to continuously sit on cushions with no cooldowns or restrictions as long as the button remains pressed. This is an important gameplay mechanic, as the Java community already utilizes this behavior for fast travel (see MC-309934, which was resolved as WAI). This disparity significantly affects gameplay consistency between the two editions.
Steps to reproduce:
Scenario 1 (Hovering while holding):
Place a cushion.
Aim your crosshair away from the cushion.
Press and hold the interaction button.
Without releasing the button, move your crosshair over the cushion.
Scenario 2 (Chaining cushions):
Place several cushions in a row (e.g., spaced 1 block apart).
Aim at the first cushion, then press and hold the interaction button to sit.
While still holding the button, move your crosshair over the adjacent cushions.
Observed result:
The player only sits on a cushion if they were looking directly at it at the exact moment the interaction button was initially pressed. Continuous holding does not trigger subsequent sitting actions.
Expected result:
The player should automatically sit on a cushion whenever the interaction button is held down and the crosshair moves over it, maintaining parity with Java Edition.
