Have to double-click everything in menus

In Minecraft Preview, whenever I’m in a menu, I have to click buttons twice for it to work. Menus range from the Minecraft start page, to the inventory, to chat. The “buttons” affected include banner patterns, items, and of course UI elements. If I click the button once, it highlights but nothing else. I have to click it twice in quick succession for it to work properly.
