Minecraft Bedrock has severe FPS stuttering on my iPhone 16 Pro Max, even in a brand new vanilla world.
The game freezes for short moments every few seconds while walking, breaking blocks, opening the inventory, or simply looking around. Sometimes the frame rate drops so much that the game becomes difficult to play.
I tested the following:
Latest iOS version installed.
Minecraft purchased from the App Store (official version).
Completely reinstalled the game.
Tested without signing into a Microsoft account.
Created a brand new world with no resource packs or behavior packs.
Graphics set to Simple.
Reduced Render Distance.
No other apps running in the background.
The stuttering is still present.
The issue becomes significantly worse when enabling Vibrant Visuals, and it becomes even worse when using add-ons. However, the problem already exists in a completely vanilla world.
Other demanding games run smoothly on this device, so this appears to be specific to Minecraft.
I also found a minecraftpe.cpu_resource.ips diagnostic log generated by iOS, indicating high CPU usage by the Minecraft process during gameplay.
Expected Result:
Minecraft should run smoothly on an iPhone 16 Pro Max, especially in a new vanilla world.
Actual Result:
Frequent FPS drops and micro-stuttering occur during normal gameplay, becoming much worse with Vibrant Visuals or add-ons.
