Vibrant Visuals shows as unsupported while in certain worlds on supported devices

Relevant info

I have a supported device, my graphics card is an nvidia gtx1650ti. I do have an integrated graphics card which can run VV, and its also affected in the exact same way, and using the integrated one doesnt seem to change how the game looks at my device.

I was under the impression this was MCPE-239742, though after testing it further, and it still affecting me in 26.40, I realise this is a completely different issue, as it doesnt persist between every world, and I can still run VV in most of my worlds. Its completely consistent which worlds are affected on my device.

I am unable to attach all my images for some reason, most come up with an error, but im able to attach one of them, so apologies for that.

Description

In the main menu, VV shows as supported and is able to be enabled, when you enter an affected world, VV will be disabled, and unable to be enabled, it will always persist in the world and its copies

Seed is not a factor, as worlds with the same seed are not affected the same way.

Being a world created in an older version isnt a factor, though my two affected worlds are older. I have unaffected worlds that are also old.

Steps to reproduce (if you have the right device)

This is a drive link to a world thats affected on my device. (since its too large to upload) https://drive.google.com/file/d/1W-GcIghXXq7HTiEYJBnJiVWHtUwzkVPA/view?usp=sharing

  1. Enable VV in the main menu (in game graphics mode switching being enabled/disabled has no effect)

  2. Enter a world, it will be disabled and tell you that a supported device is required

Or

  1. Enable in game graphics mode switching, and note VV being selectable

  2. Enter a world

  3. Check the graphics mode, it will show that you need a supported device to enable VV

Affected worlds of mine in 26.40
- infinite world created just before chase the skies, no experiments enabled, affected with and without resource packs, 1.5gb in size
seed: 22420197
- flat world created in a 1.20 hotfix (i think), has education edition enabled, affected with and without resource packs, 43mb in size (linked world)
seed: -9039645702217883705

I don’t have especially many worlds to test this with, I have 1 world older than the infinite world listed (1.21), which is 3.2gb, no experiments, but its unaffected, meaning age isnt a factor.

Isolated the trigger for this issue. Enabling the "Education Edition" toggle in world settings forces Vibrant Visuals to disable and lock out, displaying the "Supported device required" message (tested on supported hardware).

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Enable Vibrant Visuals in the Main Menu Video Settings.

  2. Create a new world with Education Edition toggled ON.

  3. Join the world and check Video Settings.

Observed Result: Vibrant Visuals is locked out and grayed out, defaulting to Fancy graphics.
Expected Result: Vibrant Visuals should remain available on supported hardware regardless of the Education Edition toggle.

System Specs: Windows 11 / NVIDIA RTX 3080

Isolated Trigger: Enabling the "Education Edition" toggle...

in response to the comment, the other world doesnt, nor has it ever had education edition or any experiment on it, therefore it isnt resolved. I still cannot enable Vibrant visuals in a world that has no experiments on it, no resource packs, and has achievements enabled?

so id like to request the duplicate resolution be removed, and I be allowed to remove the world with education edition from the list, since I do still have a world without it thats affected?

Please provide a download link to the world that doesn’t have Education Edition enabled.

Fixed the issue, though I don’t know the cause, Id rather troubleshoot and create a much much smaller world if it were a VV issue, since the affected world is 1.5GB, and a pain to upload and download, but I can’t be bothered aggressively troubleshooting such a big world.

I guess to anyone with a similar issue, clear all the previously enabled resource packs on your world, that should fix it, it fixed it for me. I have a feeling a pack I had disabled previously somehow caused it, hense the reason it persisted with no packs enabled.

They were all disabled so im still confused, but i doubt its a VV bug, its just because I tried enabling some broken pack in the past, 3/4 in that folder were all ones that would all fail to enable when i’d tried to in the past.
