Bug Report: Graphical Rendering Issues with Vibrant Visuals on Android (Snapdragon 6 Gen 1)

When Vibrant Visuals is enabled, the game displays multiple graphical artifacts during normal gameplay.

The affected elements include:

  • Grass textures showing incorrect movement, distortion, or visual flickering.

  • Leaf textures rendering incorrectly.

  • Environmental blocks showing graphical corruption.

  • Transparent elements displaying abnormal rendering.

  • The chest interface background appearing visually incorrect, with transparency artifacts.

  • World creation/loading becoming unstable when Vibrant Visuals is enabled.

The issue occurs on a clean installation of Minecraft Bedrock Edition without external modifications.

Steps to Reproduce

  • Install Minecraft Bedrock Edition version 1.26.40.5 on an Android device using Snapdragon 6 Gen 1

  • Launch the game.

  • Create a new world.

  • Enable Vibrant Visuals in Video Settings.

  • Enter the world.

  • Observe grass, leaves, transparent blocks, and UI elements.

Expected Behavior

Vibrant Visuals should render correctly, with proper lighting, transparency, and texture behavior.

Actual Behavior

Graphical artifacts appear immediately after enabling Vibrant Visuals.

The issue reproduces consistently across multiple worlds.

Reproduction Rate

100% reproduction rate when Vibrant Visuals is enabled.

Tested:

  • Multiple newly created worlds.

  • Vanilla gameplay.

  • No addons.

  • No resource packs.

  • No mods.

Troubleshooting Performed

Tested solutions:

  • Reinstalled Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

  • Tested without addons or modifications.

  • Tested different worlds.

  • Changed graphical settings.

  • Enabled Android developer option:"Disable HW overlays"

Temporary Workaround

Enabling:

Android Developer Options → Disable HW overlays

temporarily allowed Minecraft to launch correctly.

However, after enabling Vibrant Visuals and attempting to create a world, the graphical corruption returned.

Technical Notes

The behavior suggests a possible compatibility problem between:

  • Minecraft Bedrock Edition's Vibrant Visuals rendering pipeline.

  • Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 / Adreno GPU drivers.

  • Android 16 graphics handling.

The issue may involve incorrect shader processing, deferred rendering compatibility, or GPU driver-specific behavior.

Requested Investigation

Please investigate compatibility between Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.26.40.5 Vibrant Visuals rendering and Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 devices, as this issue prevents affected users from properly using the feature.
