Maxed Fancy Render Distance

When opening mincraft, visuals are set to fancy with max or near max render distance, when another setting was previously set; i.e. vibrant visuals, simple graphics, lower render distance, etc.

Nvidia does not have access to these settings

Expected result: settings to remain unchanged between closing and opening minecraft. Actual result: almost every time, the settings are changed.
