Description:
In Bedrock Edition, when an End portal is activated or when the obsidian platform regenerates upon entity entry, any blocks occupying the space are simply deleted without dropping as items. This behavior was changed in Java Edition 1.20, where overwritten blocks now drop as items, preventing resource loss. Bedrock Edition has not yet synchronized this change, which is inconsistent and negatively impacts player experience.
How to Reproduce:
Build a portal to the End in the Overworld.
Place some blocks on and around the obsidian platform in the End.
Leave the End and re-enter through the portal.
Observe the fate of the previously placed blocks.
Observed Result:
Any blocks occupying the space where the obsidian platform regenerates are simply deleted
Similarly, riders and certain projectiles—such as wither skulls, fireballs, and arrows—passing through portals have also been updated in Java Edition 1.20, but these changes have not yet been synced to Bedrock Edition, which likewise impacts gameplay experience.
