Summary:
When Reflections is set to Medium or higher while using Vibrant Visuals, water reflections near the edge of the render distance appear fuzzy, noisy, or glitchy. This is particularly noticeable at high render distances.
This issue also occurs in 26.44; however, because the maximum render distance is limited to 28 chunks, the issue is less noticeable and severe. In 26.50.56 Preview, the maximum render distance was increased to 48 chunks, making this issue significantly more noticeable and causing oceans to look extremely poor.
Steps to Reproduce:
Launch Minecraft, preferably Minecraft Preview
Navigate to Settings > Video and set Graphics Mode to Vibrant Visuals.
Set Reflections to Medium or higher and set Render Distance to the maximum value.
Create a new world.
Locate an ocean using
/locate biome minecraft:ocean.Fly up and look toward the water near the edge of the render distance.
Observe the water reflections.
Observed Results:
Water reflections near the edge of the render distance appear fuzzy or noisy, significantly reducing the visual quality of the water.
Expected Results:
Water reflections should appear clear and render correctly, without excessive fuzziness or noise.
Notes:
No Resource Packs or Behavior Packs are being used.
Issue occurs consistently.
Graphics drivers are up-to-date.
