Settings UI becomes invisible while button sounds still work

After updating Minecraft Bedrock to version 26.50 on iOS, the Settings interface sometimes becomes completely invisible. The game still appears to respond to touches, and I can hear the button-click sounds, but the Settings UI itself is not displayed.

steps to produce the bug

1. Open Minecraft Bedrock.

2. From the main menu, open Settings.

3. The Settings interface may fail to appear and become invisible/blank.

4. Tap around the screen where the Settings buttons should be.

5. Button-click sounds can still be heard even though the UI is not visible

Expected result

The Settings UI is invisible
