In a world from the Super Mario Mash-up Pack, the water in one of green pipe to bypass ice spikes is now an ice (hence it’s frozen), which causes players to not be saved from fall when traveling through the pipe.
Steps to reproduce:
Make sure you are on the Nintendo Switch for authenticity
On the title screen, click Play
Click Create new world
Click Owned by me
(Find and) select Mario Mash-up
Switch game mode to creative in the General tab and enable cheats from the Cheats tab
Create it by pressing “Create” button
In the world, send the command
/tp -35 101 -368Look at the block below the pipe
Expected result: The block below the pipe should be water
Observed result (see “2026091713154400_c.jpg“): The block below the pipe is an ice block, as it got frozen with no light blocks nearby.
Workarounds:
Bypass the ice spike without using the pipe (see “ice spike bypass workaround.mp4“):
Walk to the left of the ice spike
Turn right after the ice spike
Downloading the community port (requires Realms, the two devices’ Microsoft Account to be admins of the Realm, Nintendo Switch Online subscription, and enough insanity):
Download “Mario Mash-up with even more patches.mcworld“ on a PC or mobile device
Import it
Migrate “Mario Mash-up E.more patches“ to the Nintendo Switch according to Use Realms to Transfer a Minecraft: Bedrock Edition World to Another Device | Minecraft Help
If you are not insane, you could just play the “Mario Mash-up E.more patches“ on devices you like after step 2.
The port also patches a ton of other issues I found, see “Issues fixed.md“ after uncompressing “Mario Mash-up with even more patches.mcworld“.
Reason of affected platform being Nintendo Switch and it being a game bug: The Super Mario Mash-up Pack is built in to Nintendo Switch in a way that it can’t be updated without also updating the game.
