Game Crash with new Abandoned Campsites

Whenever I open a chest within the new abandoned campsites, they’ll appear empty at first and my game will freeze, sometimes it will load the items after a while and sometimes it crashes the game, I’m playing in handheld mode for the switch so I don’t know if that has to do with it
