After update to v26.50, it won't let Microsoft Child accounts log in, getting error Drowned

Stuck in a login loop when signing into child’s Microsoft account. I am able to use the QR code or link and login in to Microsoft successfully but the game on the switch keeps giving me the login failed, error code drowned every time. I’ve tried the internet trick to switching it off and on, logged into parent account and back into child’s, checked Microsoft child safety controls, uninstalled and redownloaded, multiple console resets And data cache clearing still no luck.
