Dappled Forest biome causes severe chunk corruption

Ever since the Dappled Forest biome was released, there have been major issues affecting chunks that were already explored prior to the update.

These issues appear to occur when previously generated terrain is affected by the new Dappled Forest biome generation. The severity varies, ranging from individual features being incorrectly generated to entire sections of chunks being severely affected.

Examples include:

Poplar trees partially generating, with trunks and/or foliage abruptly cut off along seemingly perfect chunk boundaries.

Water is incorrectly rendered/flowing across what appears to be a chunk boundary and they become “broken” and “unnatural”

Affected chunks can develop large, rigid, square-like depressions resembling craters. These formations are scattered throughout the affected chunks and have extremely straight, angular edges that appear to follow the chunk grid rather than natural terrain generation. In some cases, these depressions extend deep into the terrain, creating massive holes and significant alterations to the previously generated landscape.

This is a major game breaking world bug and players should not have to fear for their worlds every time they load the game. Any communication in the attempt to fix this issue would be immensely appreciated by many.
