Unable to craft sticks

Occasionally I am unable to craft sticks. It has happened to me multiple times but only with sticks, never any other item I use the classic crafting and sometimes when I put wood into the crafting table to make sticks, the stick icon doesn't come out in the "output" of the crafting table. When I rearrange the wood in different places, it still doesn't work. I then switch to the "pocket" crafting and the sticks don't come up in the crafting menu even when I have wood planks in my inventory. When I re-log , it doesn't work. When I close the application for Minecraft, it doesn't work. I even restart my phone but that doesn't fix it either. The only thing that fixes it is time: I just have to leave it for a while and come back later. PLEEEEEASE fix 🙂

P.s. Just after writing the first section to this report, I went into my creative world and my inventory was like how it is in the Master Builders game on the Mineplex server. I had played a game of it a few hours before. Could this have something to do with it? If not, please try and fix this bug anyway! 🙂
