You can see fire, webs and leaves through blocks.

Just like the title says. It was a converted world. And you can only see it from a distance. Once you get closer to the area it doesn't look that way. In picture below zoom in on the middle 2 tall towers.

Thani is interesting, I’m going to try to reproduce this issue on my Xbox One. I will get back to you after it is complete.

Thanks! Yeah, it's weird. I thought at first fire spreads was turned on, but when I got closer I realized it wasn't. Also stone doesn't burn, so idk what I was thinking. I only just noticed the leaves and webs today.

This still exists in full 1.2.0

My leaves and fire render through stone blocks at a certain distance too.

Windows 10
Ver 1.2

Still a problem in most recent version.

Partially confirmed in 1.2.9.1 Windows 10.

Attached 4 screenshots:

  • From the other side.png shows how I arranged a stone wall with fire and all 6 kinds of leaves. The fire and leaves are at X = -2476.

  • At X = -2448.png shows what it should and does look like from nearby.

  • At X = -2406.png shows the fire appearing when viewed from a distance. This was the closest I could get while seeing the fire. I couldn't get the leaves to appear at any distance. I tried with Fancy Leaves both on and off. However, I did see a visual effect, a horizontal line of lighter pixels in front of the leaves, which I could not seem to capture because it was difficult to find the exact position and angle to reproduce it.

  • At x = -2406 up angle.png shows what happened when I tilted up at the same position. The fire gradually disappeared as I tilted up, until it was gone entirely at a slightly higher angle than that shown.

The same thing happens with sugarcane.
