So I joined the Xbox Insider Program and downloaded the Better together beta.
At first it installed 1.2.0.20 and it ran just fine. The I found out it had an update pending and so i installed it. It installed 1.2.0.29 and wont updater any further.
So I did the same on Win 10 and it installed 1.2.0.31.
I have left the insider program
deleted the minecraft beta
rejoined the insider program
reinstalled the minecraft beta
even I uninstalled minecraft xbox one edition
i spent a full 4 hours working on this issue, i even called Microsoft support.
Microsoft support says "we do not support any betas"
I am currently trying to console factory reset. And i will try to get everything running again.
Edit: Update: console factory reset does not fully update
Edit: Update: https://feedback.minecraft.net/knowledgebase/articles/1807114-minecraft-win-10-android-beta-1-2-build-9 "References Xbox"

If you are going to comment with potentially helpful information you need to show supporting documentation. Just saying something does nothing.

Again, if you are going to comment with potentially helpful information you need to show supporting documentation. Where? "I Repeat Where?" on the Xbox Insider Hub does it say the current version is 1.2.0.29? And if that is the version on Xbox One vs Win 10 being 1.2.0.31. Causing issues for not just myself but I'm certain others something needs to be fixed here.
Due to different development cycles build numbers might be different. Build 1.2.0.29 is currently the latest version for Xbox one.
this is really upsetting. why won't anyone link or show where this information is officially? if I was able to see this officially, I could have not bothered creating this bug to begin with. Communicating effectively is what Mojang used to do when it came to these betas. Now IDK what this mess is. A [Helper] says it is posted somewhere and then a [Mod] says as if stating fact that is how it is. And you don't substantiate your claims with information.
Long story short I spent 4 to 5 hours scouring the internet to find NOTHING that stats what version numbers each are supposed to be.
I only found issues where people couldn't connect and were having version mismatch just as I was. i.e. : MCPE-25943
I found a post on Reddit where there were issues with previous versions 1.2.0.20 and 1.2.0.25 and etc.
All I ask is communication about this information.
