alot of stuff i noticed is missing from the creative menu and no way to get them unless you craft them

Verify if the toggle with the crafting table icon on it changes anything.
If not, try restarting the game.
Finally, failing all others:
1. Exit all apps/games
2. Hold power button on the console until it powers off
3. Unplug the power cord
4. Wait an actual 30 secomds
5. Plug back in
6. Turn on with console button or a synced controller.
