I received the recent update and noticed that the bounding box for all selected items is now visible. Wherever I point the crosshairs, the bounding box for any highlighted block is seen.

However, this issue has been closed as Working as Intended.
This feature is optional though, and can be adjusted under Settings>General>Video>Outline Selection.
