Typing anywhere in the minecraft app that has been updated to the "Better Together" update on iOS using the default iOS system keyboard causes the game to hang and subsequently crash seconds later. This bug is game crippling as it prevents one from doing any activities that require text input such as signing into Xbox Live or even simply naming a new world.
