Exiting after done writing on sign

When I use a sign to write down and finish to exit and continue playing my game doesn’t exit out of the sign and I have to true off device and restart it up to see what I wrote on the sign I place down.

After I finish writing the sign and exit I would walk over to another room in my house.
When I tried to exit after I wrote what I wanted to on the sign and walk around all I say was the sign and couldn’t move or anything my screen just showed the sign and the background in my house.

Steps to reproduce;
Make a sign.
Place sign on any wall or the ground.
Write anything and exit to continue playing.
That is what I did.
