Realms Tab not showing in menu

After noticing an update I started up Minecraft to find that the Realms Tab was completely gone from the start menu., all that was there was the Create and Sync Tabs. a friend tried to connect to my realm from his console with success and invited me where I was took to a screen telling me that my server may need to be updated and gave the option to go to store or continue. The Tab that was meant to take me to the store to check for updates crashed the game and the continue Tab lead to another message stating my server was outdated. I also checked for updates but there was none.
