when crouching and walking out to the side of a block to place a block with a parrot on your shoulder, the block placing animation shows, but the block isn't placed, jumping to get the parrot of the shoulder immediately fixes the issue.

I'm seeing this in 1.4, iOS, and it's more than just when sneaking. It can be while trying to place any block anywhere, but seems to have something to do with the direction the player is facing, or perhaps the orientation of the player on the site for the block being placed. When pile jumping, simply turning 45 to 90 degrees in either direction seems to resolve the issue. When unable to place a block adjacent to the player, moving 45 to 90 degrees along a radius around the intended block site seems to resolve the issue. Also, getting the parrot to dismount resolves the issue. I'm going to bet that it has something to do with the parrot getting in the way of placing the block, and changing the player's directional orientation somehow affects the parrots orientation/position.
Still seeing this in 1.4.2 (iOS), and I found a new variant: shooting arrows down when this behavior exhibits itself causes the arrow to strike something invisible immediately in front of the player (the parrot? though it never seems to take damage) and the player then immediately collects it, with the arrow-strike noise and the collect item noise happening almost simultaneously. As with the pile jumping and block-placing variants, changing the orientation of the player or getting rid of the parrot resolves the issue.
This is showing as fixed in 1.2.13.5 but I can still replicate.
